Post-Operative Picture of a Perineal Urethrostomy (PU) Surgery in a Cat

Immediate post-operative appearance of the cat folloing PU surgery. Notice the blood clot around the stitching (suture material) which is normal during the post-operative period. This procedure involved amputation of the penis with urethrostomy of the urethra at a wider point to help this male cat successfully urinate without recurrent obstruction down the road. GRAHAMDVM
